SPLINTERNET

tv.gif Belgian prime-time television show on 2BE. tv.gif

From their container six webtourists travel daily through the worldwide web.
Looking for wonderful internet discoveries. And the people behind it:
people here and everywhere, with their small and big ideas and initiatives.

WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF SPLINTERNET!

We where honoured to recieve a phonecall of the TV-BASTARDS production team, pictured above, to attend their show and spread the Upcycle vibe.
In real life it is really the feel good clubhouse as presented on screen! Pretty magical and cool to call this a place of work!
BIGUP to on screen Kristof, Lore, Wouter, Vincent, Jonas AKA Bockie and Hannes. GREAT VIBES!
And a special humble thank you to producer/'Gardian Angel' Wim and Cameraman Louk as all seeing eye from the sky (or for all your powderwishes!).
GREAT JOB!

In one minute we explained Belgium what the studio and Upcycling is all about...YES! It's all about planting those seeds of sustainability, creating peacefull and visually poetic resisistance against mass production at low cost and of dubious quality, that serves the growing uniformity by multinational globalism, a world of creative drought, loss of identity and the rise of short-term thinking: worn after 6 months, throw it on a huge pile and if you don't enjoy your view on Mountain Trash! We'll just look the other way and buy it again? This results in an unfailing gluttony on our ecological system, a system we definately do not own, we are only a little part of it.

But it wasn't only talking!

We walked the walk by selecting/hunting/collecting in the TV-BASTARDS prop room some old dusty pegs and parts of 1960's chandeliers.
After an exciting Upcycle process we created really nice interiorobjects in poppy colours and 'Art Déco' touch to place your fresh fruits:
